It’s fascinating to see the technical evolution at Stratus under Dean Stoyka. I've been drinking these wines in Singapore for a few years now and learned a lot through your article. The move toward incorporating amphorae and larger foudres, alongside the reduction in new oak for the 'Black Label,' really seems to be highlighting the purity and Niagara identity of the fruit. Great piece!

As a long time fan of Stratus’s wines, I’m also delighted by this shift. It’s wonderful that you’ve been able to discover the wines in Singapore. Not many Canadian wines make it through the export channels, so I’m thrilled that one of the best producers has made inroads in Singapore. Thank you for taking the time to read and comment, Aleksandar. Your support is appreciated! 🙏😊

I actually hosted 13 Canadian winemakers in Singapore last year, the wines were delicious and the people incredible. Hope to see more wines here soon!

Oh fantastic! This makes me so happy. I used to be in charge or exports for an Ontario winery for a number of years, so I have a soft spot in my heart for this kind of effort. I even travelled to Singapore often. It was my favourite market to visit and work. I hope the effort bears fruit and more Canadian wines make it to the market.
